& so I launch myself into the Blog world! I have been *Lurking* around so many blogs the last couple of years that sometimes I can’t remember where I started. I read my first blog when I started stamping and making cards. Wow, have I gone a long way from there! & that brings me here, now. Recently I came across Dispatch From LA….& her online class, Remains of the Day Journal. I have always tucked away bits & pieces of paper that I did not want to throw away, too pretty. Well she showed a bunch of us what to do with ‘em! & that brought me to today, when I launch my blog. I just had to join the other videoers (word?) and show mine. So in the hope that I don’t bore anyone too much (in case anyone actually reads), here is my Journal! This class was so much fun and brought me to places I didn’t expect to go. Don’t ya just love life sometimes??

Hi Debe,
ReplyDeleteOh, your first Journal is quite a visual feast !
I just love that you are so desriptive in your narration, it is nice to know where all the bits and pieces came from.
Thank you for sharing..
Trish from Australia.
I enjoyed your video very much. I loved all your pages and how they had so many personal things on them. I started out as a rubber stamper and have gone into many other things also. And I love this class also a lot. Nancy http:usingupallthatstuff.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteLoved your video and your journal! So fun to hear the details of the bits and pieces that you've collected. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteDebe,
ReplyDeleteYou made a beautiful journal and a great video! I loved hearing where all your special bits of paper came from and I had to laugh at the dogs barking and the phone ringing - that's real life! This journal and video are a great way to launch your blog. It sounds like you do a lot of other wonderfully creative things, so you'll have plenty to write about and show in your new blog! Thanks for sharing with all of us.

You're going to love being a blogger!
Best wishes from France.

I agree that this is a great way to launch your blog. I too have been thinking of starting one since taking Mary Ann's class but haven't made that leap ... yet. Thank you for sharing your journal. I love hearing about the bits and pieces. (My flickr photos are under "dejavucreations".)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your first blog, your first ROD journal, and your first video. You've done well with them all. I liked hearing your voice because you sound like people back home. I was raised in Arkansas

Welcome to the land of blog Debe! Wonderful journal - really enjoyed your video! This class is so much fun....
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your leap into the blog world! AND I LOVE YOUR JOURNAL!! VB
ReplyDeleteI love your journal! The flower on the front is a great idea. I put a paper flower on the front of mine that I know will come off soon so I may have to make a fabric one to replace it. Welcome to the blogosphere!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful journal! I truly love the flower on the cover! Is it fabric? Your next post could be a tutorial on making the flower! I agree it is nice to have a place to put all of the pretties that have been saved over the years!!
ReplyDeleteThat video is precious! You should put it on a DVD and tuck it in a pocket, so when your great-great-great-great-grandchildren's children find your journal, you can give them a tour. I can't throw away pretty little scraps, either. You've created a real treasure.
